The anniversary campaign celebrates a milestone in the life of a United Way with the promise of future positive change in the community. An anniversary campaign should be an element of a broader based fundraising strategy. While it can have multiple objectives which may not encompass raising funds, it can help to build visibility in the community around a significant anniversary date as well as develop the infrastructure of a subsequent campaign, such as a full endowment, initiative or capital campaign.

· announcing a new impact initiative or community wide effort focused on a specific issue,

· partnering with a corporate partner to jointly celebrate a milestone, and/or

· increasing numbers of donors for your United Way
